Job Description:

We are looking for a “Content Editor” who will be responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing content on DAN website. Preferably, we are looking for an individual with a good understanding of SEO, and experience in managing blogs and social media pages.

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Istanbul office. We are looking for a team member who has advanced knowledge of English (written and verbal) and is able to travel to the United Kingdom at least once a year.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up the digital design, marketing and technology industries closely, and prepare content programs in line with global trends • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm content topics • Create up-to-date content (news, agency work, blog posts), research creative visuals, edit the content and publish online • Edit and publish news, work and press releases coming from member agencies and various other sources • Coordinate and publish content coming from guest authors and bloggers • Optimize online content to help improve search rankings (SEO) and user engagement • Writing and editing copy in line with our brand, tone of voice and our content guidelines as well as the content strategy • Help manage the content publishing schedule to ensure a steady flow of new and/or repurposed content is delivered across our main digital channels

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of experience working as a Content Editor • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field • Track record in writing for different media and audiences Demo content: Online references (published blog posts or editorial content) will be required as part of the interview • Creative thinking, to be able to come up with new ideas to improve content strategy • Passion for excellent writing and a meticulous attention to detail when proofreading his/her own or another editor’s work • Able to adapt writing style to suit different target audiences • Understanding of digital marketing, web analytics and how to maximize social media engagement • Advanced knowledge of English (written and verbal) • Knowledge of WordPress • Strong grounding in digital content marketing with an understanding of how wider marketing strategies apply to creating content (desirable)

We are looking for a detail-oriented team member, preferably who has experience working in the advertising agencies, digital marketing agencies or marketing related companies.
